What’s behind Moments with God Welcome!
Thank you for taking time to share with me in Moments with God. My hope and prayer is that you will be encouraged to know God more and to draw closer in your walk with Him. I want to give you a little background to what led me to writing Moments with God.
During the years of Covid, many of our church family were not able to worship and fellowship together. I tried to think of different ways to make them feel special and stay connected. Some of our older members struggled with accessing the online prayer bulletin, so I began to send a paper prayer bulletin through the mail with a handwritten note. I would often comment on the weather or give just a small greeting. I soon tired of this, so I began to share a verse. This led to sharing some thoughts on what God was teaching me. More requested the paper prayer bulletin, so I went from a handwritten note to a typed one and called it my prayer note. Many began to encourage me to share what God was teaching me through writing a blog or a book. This is part of my steps toward that end.
I always end my prayer note with “In His Love”. Because of God’s great love for each of us, He sent His only Son, Jesus, to die on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins. We all have sinned and the penalty for that sin is death. Jesus took all our sin upon Him as He gave His life on the cross. He did not stay dead though but rose again! Our living Savior is now in heaven preparing a place for those who accept His gift of salvation. Only by asking God to forgive our sins and in placing our trust in Him can we have the hope of eternal life. He loves each of us so much that He wanted to provide a way that we could be with Him forever. If you have never accepted God’s gift of salvation, won’t you trust Him today?
In His Love,
Susan
